GHMC begins drive to remove cables from central poles
Hyderabad, September 7 (INN): The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation on Friday removed all the central pole cables starting from Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital to Road No.36, Jubilee Hills.
According to GHMC Commissioner MT Krishna Babu, four enforcement teams along with electrical staff has removed the central pole cables from Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital via Road No.1, Banjara Hills, GVK Mall, Nagarjuna Circle, Jubilee Hills Check Post to Road No.36.
He also informed that the enforcement teams could remove 10 lorries of cable till the final reports came and the drive will be continued till further instructions.
On the request of the cable operators, the GHMC Commissioner had given them time up to August 31 for shifting of cables from the main roads to by lanes and the removal drive has started on Friday.
