NATS and TAGDV Conducted Free Medical Camp in PA

North America Telugu Society (NATS) and Telugu Association of Greater Delaware Valley (TAGDV) conducted a very successful Free medical camp in Norristown, PA. This is the 2nd time in the recent past, that both NATS and TAGDV conducted a Joint free medical camp and it received tremendous response from the local Telugu Community.
Several Elderly Parents who are visiting from India, had consultations and examinations from several specialist doctors at the event. Also, Students and families with nominal/no medical insurance thronged the venue to seek medical aid and advice. Over 300 patients attended this huge medical camp which ran for full day, from 10AM till 5PM.
The following services were offered in this medical camp - Heart attack and Stroke precautions, Orthopedic advice for Bones and Joints problems, Stress Management, Sleep deprivation, Free Blood Sugar Check, Parent/Child Education, Free Checkup by Internist, Body Fat Measurement, Pain Management, Weight Loss Advice, Nutritional Advice, Overview & Expert advice, Free Blood Pressure Check, Fitness and Exercise programs Awareness.
Free Medical Tests were performed and medication coupons were distributed to all the participants of the Medical Camp. During the camp, some participants were diagnosed with new onset hypertension and diabetes and were advised accordingly to follow up with primary doctors.
Pharmacare pharmacy sponsored Free Blood Sugar machines and strips to the patients. Special thanks to Chateau Granieri Management for providing the venue.
The following doctors, in spite of their hectic schedules attended this free medical camp, extended their help and offered various medical services to the patients ' Dr. Madhu Korrapati - MD Nephrology and Hypertension, Dr. Raghava Reddy Ghosala - MD Psychiatrist, Dr. Ramesh Parchuri - MD Family Practice, Dr. Akkaraju Sarma - MD Internal Medicine, Dr. Prameela Motupalli - MD Geriatric Psychiatrist, Dr. Suryam Ganti - MD Pediatrics & Anesthesiology, Dr. Sreedhar Penagaluru - MD Internal Medicine, Dr. Srinivas Reddy Aravabhumi - MD Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Dr. Hema Jonnalagadda - MD Obstetrics & Gynecology, Dr. Lakshman P Setty - BDS, FAGD Dentist, Dr. Ashalatha Kancharla - DDS Dentist and Dr. Umadevi Nuthi - MD Child Psychiatry. Mr. Shyam Nalam helped for blood sugar measurement during the entire event
The following TAGDV executive committee: President - Ravi Potluri, Vice President - Mallikarjuna Budhavarapu, Secretary - Harinath Bungatavula, Joint Secretary - Suresh Reddy Venkannagiri, Treasurer - Sambaiah Kotapati, Joint Treasurer - Vijay Bhaskar Polamreddy, Members at Large - Kiran Kothapalli, Anupama Donthineni, Sridhar Gudala, Saritha Anumula, Rammohan Talluri, Vijayasri Parchuri etc organized this medical camp.
The following NATS executive committee and BODs: Dr.Madhu Korrapati - Vice Chairman, Gangadhar Desu - Vice President, Mohana Krishna Mannava - Joint Secretary, Directors - Sreedhar Appasani and Aruna Ganti organized this medical camp. Other NATS Team members who attended and helped this medical camp include Raj Allada, Ramesh Nuthalapati, Ranjit Chaganti, Chandrasekhar Konidela, NRC Naidu, Ramanaidu Kantubuktha, Srinivas Bharthavarapu, Shyam Nalam, Ravi Boga, Hari Kolluri, Phani Kadiyala, Chaitanya Peddu, Praneeth Kesani, Brhamini Kalikicherla, Hima Potluri etc
The following volunteers - Sameer Sheik, Mahitha Appasani, Akshitha Appasani, Chandassara Kanikicerla, Chitra Mosarla, Jay Talluri, Bhaskari Budhavarapu, Sindhu Budhavarapu, Ananth Dandibhotla and Swetha Chengalvala sweated hard to make this Medical camp a success.
NATS and TAGDV Presidents - Mr.Ravi Madala and Mr.Ravi Potluri gave community service certificates to all the volunteers.
TAGDV executive committee felicitated all the doctors who attended this medical camp.
Local Prominent Telugu people - Mr.Harnath Doddapaneni, ex TAGDV President, Lalitha Shetty, Madhava Reddy Mosarla, Aravind Maddineni, Mujeebur Rehman, Bobby Yerra, Sudheer Raju, Sreekanth Reddy Lakkasagaram, Bala Karnam, Naidu Motupalli, Ravi Hajeebu, Sateesh Rachamadugu (Swarna Jewellers), Kamal Nellutla, Babu Dasari, Leelakrishna Davuluri, Gokul Putumbaka, Ajith Pamidimukkala etc attended the medical camp and lauded the efforts of NATS and TAGDV for this noble cause.
There was a great shower of appreciation for this Medical Camp, especially from the elderly community who are on visit from India.
North America Telugu Society(NATS), the premier service oriented non-profit National Telugu organization, who pioneered the free medical camps programs through out the country, came up with their 5th medical camp in the Tristate area in the last 2 years and overall, 18th Free Medical camp in the country.
