NATS donates $20k to the family of Ramana Vattikuti

St.Louis, MO: North America Telugu Society (NATS), the premier service oriented national Telugu Organization, in the process of expanding it's service initiatives across the country, launched NATS Missouri state chapter in St.Louis, MO. There was enormous support from local community and over 400 people turned up for the event in spite of a short notice.
NATS donated 20,000 dollars to Venkata Ramana Vattikuti's family, who unfortunately died of 'Blood Cancer(Leukemia)' leaving behind a dependent wife and small kid.
NATS also announced that it would support and promote the school for Orphans, Bright Life Foundation initiated by Dr.Polineni Subba Rao.
Speaking on the occasion, NATS President Mr.Ravi Madala briefed about the various service activities of NATS across U.S. and India - NATS 24 hrs help line, NATS Free Clinic in New Jersey, NATS Free Medical camps in US, Training programs for Students and Unemployed in US. Also, Uddhanam project (water purification projects), Seva Projects (home shelter projects for elderly people) etc in India to name a few.
NATS Joint Secretary, Mr.Mohana Krishna Mannava announced the NATS Missouri state chapter and introduced the team to the local community. NATS Missouri state chapter was formed with the following team - Srinivas Manchikalapudi, Srinivas Gullapalli, Jagan Vejendla, Srinivasa Reddy, Venkat Makkena, YSRK Prasad, Harindra Garimella, Seshu Reddy and Prudhvi Kurra. The team would be expanded in the next few days. Mr.Vijay Buddi would be the MO chapter Advisor and Dr.Sudheer Atluri would be part of National Advisory board.
NATS Director, Dr.Nagendra Srinivas Kodali briefed about the next NATS convention (2013) in Dallas and requested active participation from the local community. Mr.Srinivas Manchikalapudi coordinated this event and he initiated this effort of launching NATS Missouri chapter with the guidance of NATS President Mr.Ravi Madala and NATS Joint Secretary Mr.Mohana Krishna Mannava.
In spite of this being NATS first event in Missouri, there was over whelming response from the local community and nearly 125 people took NATS membership. Dr.Rama Krishna Gondi gave a very good presentation regarding the precautions to be taken for heart stroke and provided guidance on nutritional diet.
The presentation was well packaged and received a good response from the audience. Blood sugar machines and strips were donated to the elderly people who attended this seminar. Vimal Kavuru, NATS director sponsored the machines. Dr.Venkat Bodavula spoke about Bright Life Foundation and the services being offered to Orphan children and expressed happiness to partner with NATS for this project.
Local Prominent people Dr.Kaza RamaRao, Dr.Polineni Subbarao, Gummi Chandrasekhar Reddy, Dr.Sudheer Atluri, Rajanikanth Gangavarapu, TAS President, Rammohan Reddy P, TAS Vice President attended this event and extended their cooperation for the success of the event.
Kids performed a wide array of cultural programs which drew tremendous response from the audience. The following kids -Anvitha Makkena,Anwitha Madamanchi,Hansika Uppala,Uma Rayani,Rithik Veeravalli, Aman Gullapalli, Nithin Naga, Suneeth Ghantaji, Dhruvan Kiran, Sreeram Manchikalapudi, Rishi Ravela, Anirudh S. Simhadri, Aarnav Vennam,Rohan Daggubati, Karthik Digavalli, Rishi, Satya Datla, Srimanyu Mandapati, Pranav Nagilla, Ashish Dhanalakota, Arthi Kondapaneni, Ashritha Srirangam, Sowmya Erukulapati, Thanmai Reddy Tumma,Thanvi Nimmagadda Manasa Vollu, Rishi Kondapaneni, Srinija Garimella,Satya Srigiri, Manaswi Gottipati, Sahithi Mumgandi, Kovida Peram, Divya Vanka, Sahithi Vejandla, Harini gottumukkala, Poojitha Dontineni, Mounika Valluru and Minu Akkinapally performed various cultural programs during the event.
Cultural programs were coordinated by Vijaya Yalamanchili and Sireesha Yalamanchili anchored the event.
Several people worked hard in making this event a success and special thanks to Sreenivas Atluri, Srinivas Gullapalli, Jagan Vejendla, Venkat Makkena, Chandra Sekhar Potluri, Rama Krishna Veeravalli, YSRK Prasad, Hareendra Garimella, S.V.N, Siva Krishna Mamillapalli, Uday Raavi, Narendra Vemuri, Sreekanth Vasireddy, Vijay Buddi, Surendra Byrapaneni, Gopinath Sompalli, Radha Krishna Rayani, Ravi Karnati, Sreekanth Sarasvathula and Kalyan Vaddempudi. Overall, the very first event of NATS in the area received overwhelming response and support from the local community.
