Upendra Chivukula ready to go to US Congress
New Jersey: Dr.Purnachander Sirikonda, a successful businessman and an eminent Doctor in North Jersey hosted a Fund Raising event with the help of his friends for Upendra Chivukula who is running for US Congress from NJ District-7.
The event was attended well over 150 people. The event is conducted in Taste of India (FINE INDIAN CUISINE), 81 New Bridge Road, Bergenfield, NJ 07621 on Saturday, Oct 13, 2012.
Dr. Sirikonda organized this evening the fund raising reception professionally with the help of a host committee consists of Ravinder Thota, Abraham Varghese, Anthony Subbaiah,Sridhar Vajjinapalli,Govind Raj Thota,Hari Eppanapally and Srinivas Ganagoni.
Dr. Sirikonda introduced all the host committee members and invited Upendra Chivukula and the organizers Ravinder Thota, Hari Eppanapally, and Srinivas Ganagoni on to the dias.
Dr. Sirikonda spoke in length about Upendra Chivukula and explained his unique qualities and his journey into the politics how he moved step by step in to American politics and now he is ready to go to US Congress.
Many speakers came forward and spoke emotionally and touched the hearts of the audience and gave an encouragement and best wishes to Upendra. The Bergenfield councilmen, Chris and Carlos also attended the event and gave their best wishes to Upendra.
Upendra celebrated his 62 birthday along with his family members during this event. Kumar and Lalitha Rani entertained the crowd by singing melodious duets from various hindi and Telugu movies.
Chivukula is a 3-term Deputy Speaker of the New Jersey General Assembly and chairs the Assembly Telecom and Utilities Committee, is vice chair of the Homeland Security and State Preparedness Committee, and a member of the Transportation, Public Works and Independent Authorities Committee.
