GHMC makes special arrangements for Bakrid festival Hyderabad, October 25 (INN): The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has made special arrangements for lifting of garbage and sanitation related works for the ensuing festival of Bakrid to be celebrated on Saturday.
GHMC Mayor Mohammed Majid Hussain on Thursday held a meeting with Additional Commissioner L Vandan Kumar to review the arrangements.
He directed the Additional Commissioner to fix up the responsibility to AMOHs and concerned sanitary supervisor to personally monitor the lifting of the garbage process right from the afternoon of the Bakrid day and to clear the waste on the day itself.
He said he would personally monitor the lifting of the wastage through OSRT system along with the health officials for proper maintenance of the works.
The GHMC Mayor also instructed the Health and Sanitation Officials to deploy the additional vehicles as was done last year. This year, the corporation has decided to deploy 215 vehicles including 10 Bobcat, 16 JCBs to lift the garbage on Bakrid.
