NATS celebrates 2013 Sambaralu Kick Off event Dallas, Texas, Oct 26: NATS (North America Telugu Society) celebrated its 2013 Sambaralu Kick Off event on a grand scale with variety of cultural events.
The event started with Candle light vigil lead by Ravi Madala, Vijay Velamuri , Srinivas Koneru and Bapu Nuthi in memory of Saanvi Venna and Satyavathi Venna who are recently killed near Philadelphia. After that delicious dinner is served by Bawarchi Indian Restaurant.
Opening the cultural program, cultural chair Rajesh Chilukuri explained about the variety of cultural programs NATS presents for Telugu People. Personally invited all the audience and Telugu people to the NATS Sambaralu ' 2013 which are going to be held in Irving Convention Center during July 4th, 5th and 6th, 2013 in Irving, TX.
NATS Board of Directors were introduced to the audience and NATS president Ravi Madala explained about various services provided by NATS to the Telugu people and also personally invited all the US Telugu NRI's to attend NATS Sambaralu 2013 and make it a grand success.
Jaya Kalyani and Gopinath conducted the program as MCs. The opening item Kalyana Rama depicting character of Lord Rama and Namo Bhagavathe Rudraya portraying Lord Shiva by Kuchipudi Kalakshetra admired audience by its rich Kuchipudi Dance performance.
Singers Deepu and Sai Shilpa enthralled the audience with their scintillating performance. Comedy skits by movie artists Hema and Gowtham raju are cool with good humor. Mimicry artist Shiva entertained by imitating several movie artists.
Rajesh Chilukuri introduced NATS ' 2013 Sambaralu Team to the audience who are working dedicatedly to the success of event.
Later Literary chair Ananth Mallavarapu organized a special event on the occasion of Gurajada Apparao 150th birth anniversary and the roles of Puttadi Bomma Poornamma, Gireesham and Gurajada are played by kids effectively and the song 'Desamunu Preminchumanna' written by great poet sung by all the team filled great patriotic feeling among all who attended.
There were several folk dances movie medleys performed by local kids along with song medley performed by Dallas LMA kids entertained audience. NATS team invited local community leaders and felicitated all the artists.
Sirisha Bavireddy in her vote of thanks note thanked all the artists, local dance groups, sponsors and volunteers who worked hard for the success of event. Finally Deepu and Shilpa ended the program with their entertaining song medley.
