Sikhs takes out colourful Nagar Keertan Hyderabad, Nov 24 (INN): As part of the ongoing 543th birthday celebrations of first Sikh Guru and founder of Sikh religion, a colourful "Nagar Keertan" (Holy Procession) was jointly taken out from Gurudwara Saheb Secunderabad here on Saturday.
The procession was jointly organised by Prabhandak Commitees of Gurudwara Saheb Secunderabad and Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Ashok Bazar, Afzalgunj.
GSS President S Baldev Singh Bagga and General Secretary S Avtr Singh said that the "Nagar Keertan'' was marked with carrying of Sri Guru Granth Sahibji, the revered scripture of Sikhs on a beautifully decorated vehicle, followed by "Nishaan Sahebans' (Religious flag bearers), "Panj Pyaras'' (five beloved ones) and exhilarating demonstration of "GATKA" (A Sikh martial art form) hailing from Punjab and Hyderabad. Nearly 20,000 Sikh devotees of all ages took part in the holy procession.
