Mother, daughter end lives over family feud
Hyderabad: A 50-year-old woman and her newly-wed daughter committed suicide by hanging themselves at their residence in Venkatarao Nagar of Kukatpally.
Police said Sakkubai(50) and her daughter Chandra Bindu (20) resorted to the extreme step after a complaint was filed against the girl by her husband Chandrasekhar.
Kukatpally police said Sakkubai migrated to Hyderabad along with her
three kids after the death of her husband some time ago. They eked out their livelihood by working as labourers. A couple of months ago, Bindu got married to Chandrasekhar of Jagadgirigutta.
However, few weeks later it came to light that Bindu was pregnant and her husband suspected her fidelity.
Their parents tried to settle the dispute but Chandrasekhar lodged a complaint with the police saying he was being forced to live with the girl though he did not wish to.
Even as the matter was under investigation, the two women resorted to
the extreme step following the complaint, police said. The case has been registered and investigation is on.
