Free health camp held under the aegis of TLCA and NATS
TLCA and NATS, jointly organised free health check up camp on Sunday, 2nd Dec., at Flushing Shridi Saibaba Temple, NY. A total of 78 patients were examined and gave flu shots to 40 of the patients who needed them the most.
18 patients were scheduled for free mammograms at the Flushing hospital medical center with in the next 2 months and EKG was done on about 28 patients. There were 30 patients who had eye exams done. Collected 30 buccal samples for bone marrow donation today. We also helped and sent a patient to the ER for accelerated HTN evaluation.
We had 5 new patients diagnosed with poorly controlled diabetes and a few patients with heart disease who were advised to seek further treatments with their primary medical doctor etc.
None of this would be possible without the help of the voluteers from TLCA & NATS. We would like to thank all the Doctors & organisers for their time and selfless effort in helping our fellow beings at Flushing Shridi Sai Temple, NY.
