PTA appeals all political parties to back Telangana Philadelhia, December 25: Philadelphia Telangana Association (PTA) made an appeal to all political parties in Andhra Pradesh to reiterate the formation of Telangana state to the Center in a press statement . As the central government invited for an all-party-meeting on December 28, to express their opinion on Telangana state formation, the Telangana NRIs requested all parties to send a unified message to the center and not to fiddle with the issue anymore.
'The message from the Telangana people is clear. Formation of Telangana state is a democratic and just demand. All public representatives have agreed in the past for the formation of Telangana state,' the statement read, 'Now is the time to make a clear stand of the issue.'
As all the parties are sending two representatives to voice the party stand, the NRIs asked them to be unequivocal and transparent. People of Telangana are no more gullible to be duped by the double-stand took by some parties.
The statement further read, 'this is a decisive moment and any political party cannot afford to take ambiguous stand on the longstanding issue. Telangana people are asking what the parties have promised them -- the formation of Telangana state. Now the people want no less.'
The Philadelphia Telangana Association appealed on behalf of all Telangana NRIs to all parties to stand by their word and stress the importance and the need of urgency of forming Telangana state as early as possible.
The PTA has also appealed to all the people of Telangana to reiterate their wish to thier respective public official that their voice be heard at Delhi. The executive member of PTA Ravi Mayreddy, Madhava Mosarla, Subhash Karra, Mujibur Rehaman, Raj Kakkerla and Madhav Cheluka released the statement to the press.
