Housewife gang-raped at Amberpet HYDERABAD: Two persons allegedly outraged the modesty of a 25-year-old married woman at her house at Durga Nagar in Amberpet police station here on Sunday. One of the assailants was arrested.
Amberpet CI Balagangi Reddy said the accused were identified as Ilyas Ahmed, a tailor and Afaq Ahmed, a welder. He said the victim lodged a complaint stating that she was raped by the accused in the early hours of Sunday.
The victim is married to a Setwin bus conductor and the couple has three children. The incident happened around 1 a.m. on Sunday when only the victim and her one-and-a-half-year-old son were present at the house.
The CI said the assailants followed the woman as she went into the house after using the toilet located outside, and then committed the offence. They took to heels when she raised an alarm.
The victim was shifted to Petlaburj Maternity Hospital for medical examination.
