Smt. Krishnasri Gandham elected President, TLCA

Established in 1971, Telugu Literary and Cultural Association is the oldest and the single largest association in North America established to promote the Telugu Literary and Cultural values in the Tristate.
The Association has been the inspiration and origin of various regional and national Telugu associations. TLCA has a very strong member base spread across New York, New Jersey and Connecticut states.
In the recently conducted elections, Smt. Krishnasri Gandham was elected as the President of the Association. Smt. Gandham joined the Association in 2007 and held various responsible positions in the Executive Committee such as Treasurer, Secretary in the last 6 years.
She has a very strong background in organizing successful cultural events throughout her career. In her acceptance speech during the TLCA Sankranthi Celebrations held on Jan 26th, Krishnasri thanked the membership for getting her elected to the office.
Smt. Gandham congratulated the Executive Committee and the members of Board of Trustees elected for the current term. The outgoing President, Sri Nagendra Gupta congratulated her on her election and handed over the president badge to Krishnasri symbolizing the transition of leadership.
She promised the members that she will strive to upkeep the goals of the Association and do every best to take the association to the next level during her tenure.
She pledged to provide more support to the local talent, help promote leadership among youth, conduct medical camps for the less fortunate of the society and involve the Association in community oriented activities.
She sought the support of the community and the generous donors for the successful conduct of the various cultural, literary and community programs during 2013. The event was well attended by the members from New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
