NATA North East meeting a grand success


 
New Jersey: North American Telugu Association (NATA) leaders of North East USA have organized a lunch on 24th of February, 2013 and welcomed NATA President Dr. Sanjeeva Reddy who is visiting NJ for the first time after becoming the president. This occasion was graced by Advisory Council member Dr. Malla Reddy and it was hosted by BOD Rajeshwar Reddy. More than 250 NATA local leaders and members attended this event.

Treasurer Mohan Patlolla BODs: Dr. Stanley Reddy, Rajeshwar Reddy Gangasani, Pradeep Samala, Chinna Babu Reddy, Raghava Reddy Ghosala, Hari Velkur, Ramesh Chandra, Rami Alla Reddy, Santosh Reddy Pathuri, Srinivas Ganagoni, Vishnu Kotimreddy, Ex-BODs: Mahender Musuku, Phani Thadepalli, Venkat Vaddadi, Regional Vice Presidents: Sridhar Kumbala, Sridhar Gudala, Standing Committee Chairs: Mahesh Bigala, Anna Reddy, Mohammed Mujahid Murtuza, Ravi Kondabolu Co-Chair Naresh Chintalacheruvu, Sekhar Konala, Regional Coordinators: Sarath Mandapati, Srikanth Reddy Lakkasagaram, Anjan Karnati, Bhanoji Reddy, Sarath Veta, Vijay Battula, Narasimha Reddy and Vijay Polamreddy attended the event.

NATA President Sanjeeva Reddy has explained the goals of NATA for next two years and goals are ten thousand memberships, continue the NATA Seva days and do more projects in December. Sanjeeva Reddy thanked Rejeshwar Reddy for organizing this event and all the NATA leaders for coming to the meeting.

All NATA members condemned the terrorist attack in Hyderabad and demanded the central and state goverments to severely punish the culprits and take necessary actions to prevent this in future.

Speaking on the occasion Dr. Malla Reddy mentioned about the goal of raising the memberships to 10,000 and requested the team to work towards that goal.

Rajeshwar Reddy Gangasani has praised the North East team for doing so many events in last two years and stressed the importance of encouraging the youth and regional coordinators.

Dr. Stanley Reddy stressed the audience that if we all work together, that is an easy target and requested everyone's help. NATA Joint Treasurer Mohan Patlolla reiterated the membership goal in his speech. Joint Secretary Sridhar Korisapati told that Dallas team had a meeting few days ago and they are planning to do a membership drive and they are expecting about 500 families to join NATA.

BOD Pradeep Samala mentioned the idea of reducing the conference costs and making conferences more self-sufficient. Speaking on the occasion BOD Alla Rami Reddy suggested the idea of keeping 'NATA emergency fund' so that NATA can release the funds in case of emergency situations immediately. Dr. Malla Reddy and Sanjeeva Reddy also agreed that it is a good idea and promised to work towards this goal.

Meeting ended with vote of thanks from Saratha Mandapati. Before the meeting, NATA leaders observed 2 minute silence in memory of NATA RC from Houston Arun Sayam who passed away. Thanks to Srikanth Reddy Lakkasagaram for being MC for this occasion. Thanks to all the members and volunteers who helped this event and made a grand success.
