Sri Saketha Uthsav on April 7th in NJ Dayton, NJ: With divine blessings from HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji, Jeeyar Educational Trust (JET) USA is planning to develop Sri Rama temple and Spiritual center at Jeeyar Asramam. Once the approvals are received, construction is expected to be finished by 2015. Swamiji has named this site Sri Saketha Kshetram. 'Saketham' is Sri Lord Rama's abode, which also means Sri Vaikuntam. As part of spiritual center Sri Rama Sthupam and Sri Pedda Jeeyar Swamiji's sannnidhi will also be built.
This spiritual center will be utilized by all the devotees to conduct humanitarian and religious activities. This will become a focal point for religious studies for children as well as adults. Structured courses in Vedic literature, yoga, Classical dance, Classical music and languages will be offered. This will also serve as a Vedic research center affiliated to Jeeyar Integrated Vedic Academy (JIVA) in India.
Sri Saketham will not only be a place of worship, it will include'
A temple for the Sri Rama Parivaram
Quiet areas for meditation and yoga
Classrooms for Prajna (Vedic, moral education) and languages
Classrooms for classical music and dance
Large, spacious halls for cultural and spiritual gatherings.
The Jeeyar Asramam is the headquarters of JET USA, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization with a mission to implement HH Sri Swamiji's vision: 'Serve All Beings as Service to God" and "Worship Your Own & Respect All'.
It is a very powerful spiritual and humanitarian vision derived from the essence of the Vedas. The Sri Saketham will enable all of us to practice and implement this mission in the United States and around the world.
