TAGDV to Celebrate 40th Anniversary in June

Telugu Association of Greater Delaware Valley (TAGDV) is celebrating its 40th Anniversary celebrations at Valley Forge Convention Center, King Of Prussia PA on June 28 and 29th, 2013. The Executive committee under the leadership of President Ravi Potluri organized a Kick of meeting and fundraising dinner at Chateau Granieri, Norristown, PA on Friday, March 22, 2013 at 7PM. The spirit of the celebration is truly within the community. It was a wonderful event and certainly put the fun in fundraiser. They had a full house, smiling faces, great food, music and money for the celebrations. There was overwhelming response from the local Telugu community and over 150 people attended the event. Preliminary totals show they raised $88,000 for a worthy cause.

TAGDV Secretary, Harinath Bungatavula welcomed the guests and the event started off with a prayer song by Shiva Nuthanapati. TAGDV President Ravi Potluri spoke at length, thanking the attendees, praised past presidents and executive committee members and local community leaders for their hard work and service to the community, he also explained significance of the celebrations in great detail. Ravi Potluri announced Mr. Nandamuri Balakrishna garu will be attending as chief guest and music director Manisarma will be performing with his troupe and more than 2500 people expected to attend the event in Valley Forge convention center on June 28th and June 29th 2013. Ravi Potluri also thanked Dr. Pailla Mallareddy garu for the encouragement & support.

Audience enjoyed great live music concert by young singers Sindhu and Bhaskari Budhavarapu. Singer Lalitha Rani also entertained attendees by singing popular Telugu songs from various movies. Ravi Potluri anchored the event.
