NATA: NJ State Healthcare Industry Week a Grand Success NATA joined hands with NJ Health Care Talent Network, St.Peter's, Rutgers,&NJ State Labor Work Force Department (LWD) in NJ and sponsored the NJ Healthcare Industry (JOB & HEALTH FAIR) week from April 8 to April 12, 2013 in various counties in NJ.The Grand opening ceremony of Industry week took place on April 8, 2013at Rutgers Student Center; 126 College Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ 08901 and the total event was live telecasted via NATA Channel in YUPPTV.
We are proud to announce that this is the first time any major Telugu association ever associated in these kinds of UNIQUE events in USA said President, Dr.Sanjeeva Reddy, and Advisory Council member,Dr.PaillaMalla Reddy.SrinivasGanagoni (BOD) lead the efforts in establishing the relationship with NATA team and Padma Arvind, Director of the Health Care Talent Network, Dr. Meena Murthy, MD, FACE, Chief Endocrinologist, St. Peter's University Hospital on this event. NATA Team consists of Mohan Patalolla (Jt. Treaserer), Mahesh Bigala(PR Chair), and Ramana Devulapalli(RVP) attended the inaugural ceremony along with Srinivas Ganagoni (BOD).
The opening ceremony was led by Professor Susan J. Schurman, dean of Rutgers School of Management and Labor Relations, and the keynote speakers 1) Mary O'Dowd, Commissioner, New Jersey Department of Health, 2) Aaron R. Fichtner, Ph.D., Deputy Commissioner, New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, 3) Denise V. Rodgers, MD, FAAFP, President, University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey, and 4)Dr. Meena Murthy, MD, FACE, Chief Endocrinologist, St. Peter's University Hospital, delivered there message and emphasized the importance of this UNIQUE event.
Over 500 people participated and took advantage of JOB & Health Fair in which there are about 30 various vendors participated and provided valuable information on trends and opportunities to join the state's growing health care industry. St.Peter's University Hospital demonstrated a model medical village where all the attendees have opportunity to get free fitness tests and view the latest technologies.
Padma Arvind thanked NATA and others for sponsoring this event, and they are looking forward to do more events in partnership with NATA in the future. NJ State Labor Department team officials also showed much interest to work with NATA to help job seekers and employers in the future as well.
