Asha-Jyothi 5k run to benefit kids in India
Fairfax, Virginia, USA: Asha-Jyothi, a 501 (C) (3) non-profit organization is organizing a 5K Run/Walk and Kids Fun Run as their annual fundraiser event across multiple cities in the United States. This year we are conducting this event in Fairfax, Virginia, Freemont, California, Kansas City and New Jersey, said the organizers in a press release.
Dedicated to promoting education and healthcare for the underprivileged kids, Asha-Jyothi started with supporting 20 students in 2009. Now we are supporting to close to 1500 students across several places in India said Sekhar Puli, founder of the organization. Asha-Jyothi has come a long way, with the support of volunteers, organizations, local community support and our corporate sponsors. The success of Asha-Jyothi is attributed to the core principles of being able to pass on 100% of the donations to the beneficiaries. In addition what makes Asha Jyothi different and unique is that a donor can champion, raise and direct funds to a cause, that meet Asha Jyothi guidelines, under a program called 'Your Campaign'.
Asha-Jyothi has been very successful in creating awareness, garnering support from corporations and local community. In the past years AJ has over 2000+ participants across the cities for the 5k run.
