Bathukamma celebrations in Dublin, Ireland

Dublin, Ireland: Telugu people in Ireland celebrated Bathukamma festival for the first time. More than 40 volunteers with a lot of co-ordination and effort made this program very successful. All Telugus irrespective of their location in Andhra Pradesh came forward and participated in this program. More than 350 people attended the event. Around 60 sponsors came forward to support the program and made it possible to conduct it as a free event. Girls and Women played Bathukamma in the most traditional way.
Program started with Durga puja. Guests were served with Prasadam, mouth-watering food and delicious items. Kids enjoyed fun programs and the magic show. After religious rituals attendees exchanged greetings with 'Jammi Aaku (leaf)'.
The program was organised under the banner of 'Telugu Community Ireland'.
