Srini Pedamallu to head TAGC for 2014 in Chicago Chicago, IL, USA: Telugu Association of Greater Chicago (TAGC) new Board of Directors and Executive Committee for 2014 took charge of the operations with Srinivas Pedamallu as it's President. Jagan Bukkaraju elected as President-Elect and he will become the President for 2015. The new team thanked and congratulated the out going President Ramesh Garapaty and the entire 2013 team for their outstanding work to keep the 43 old TAGC as a top performer among all the Telugu Associations in North America.
At a recent program conducted in Aurora, all the TAGC executive committee members attended with their families and supporters. American Telugu Association (ATA) Advisory Committee Chair Hanumanth Reddy, ATA Board member Satya Kandimalla, ATA Regional Director Srinivas Matta and various other Telugu community leaders attended the event and extended their support to the 2014 team.

Telugu Association of Greater Chicago (TAGC) is a non-profit organization devoted to the awareness and promotion of Telugu Heritage and Culture in the mid-west region headquartered in Chicago. The Association was originally founded in 1971 and incorporated as a non-profit organization by the year 1978. What was once a brain child of small group of individuals, TAGC has grown to be one of the oldest and largest Indo-American organizations in the United States.
TAGC celebrates and organizes various Telugu festivals annually and encourages participation by members and well wishers at these events. As a part of Telugu culture promotion, TAGC organizes three festivals every year: Sankranti, Ugadi and Deepavali in addition to hosting an annual picnic in summer. TAGC Membership is open to all who have common interests. TAGC programs are also open to non-members who will be required to pay a small entry fee. As a leading organization in the Chicago land area connecting people of telugu culture, TAGC is actively involved in various community events.
TAGC is run by a board of directors and executive committee who are elected by TAGC members every year. Any member of TAGC is eligible to contest in the elections.
