NATS to do more Service in 2014 starting with Tax Seminiar


 
Edison, New Jersey: North America Telugu Society (NATS), the premier Telugu National Organization conducted a Free Seminar on 'Tax Filings/Tax Savings and Financial Planning' in January 1st week in Edison, New Jersey.

NATS, the first national Telugu Organization to come up with various timely service initiatives in the past - Free Medical Camps, Free Career Assistance Programs, Immigration Seminars, Personality Development & Career Success Goals, Food Drives, Clothing drives etc came up with another timely service initiative for the Telugu Community. With the start of new Tax season, NATS conducted 'Free Tax Seminar' to provide information and various tips on Tax Filing and Tax Savings. Apart from Tax topics, a lengthy session pertaining to various topics in 'Financial Planning, Money Saving, Investment Ideas' also was covered in this Seminar.

The event started with welcome note by NATS New Jersey Coordinator, Mr.Ranjit Chaganti. Later NATS Vice President Mr.Mohana Krishna Mannava briefed the various service activities initiated by NATS in the past. Later, NATS President Mr.Gangadhar Desu mentioned about NATS ideology and listed out the upcoming service initiatives of NATS and he welcomed renowned CPA Mr.Mukesh Mahajan to give a presentation on Tax topics.

Mr.Mukesh Mahajan gave a lengthy presentation on various Tax related topics - Tax Returns Filing & Tax Saving Tips, Personal and Business Taxation, Itemized Taxes, 401k, 403(b), IRA Accounts, Flexible Spending Account, Health Saving Account, Child Care Expenses, FBAR, Schedule C.

Q & A session followed and attendees asked several questions related to Tax Filing and savings on Taxes.

Later, NATS Board of Director Mr.Srinivas Maddali invited financial planners Mr.Nagendra Gupta and Mr.Meyan Pambayan to brief about Financial Planning. Mr.Gupta and Mr.Pambayan spoke at length regarding various financial topics - Financial Planning and Money Saving Goals, Children Education and Estate Planning (Writing Wills and Trusts), Home Buying and Real Estate, Investment Strategies and Assets Planning, Investing in Stocks, Insurance (Health, Life and Disability), Retirement Planning.

Q & A session session followed and attendees asked several questions related to various topics on 'Financial Planning'.

New Jersey Assembly Deputy Speaker Mr.Upendra Chivukula attended as Chief guest to the event. NATS CME Coordinator Dr.Suryam Ganti introduced Mr.Upendra. Later, Mr.Chivukula praised the idea of conducting this seminar and showered praises on NATS for it's service to the community and lauded NATS for being the first Indian organization to launch a 24 hours help line (1-888-4-TELUGU) and also for offering free health services through NATS Free Clinic in NJ. NATS Board of Director Mrs.Aruna Ganti felicitated Mr.Gupta and Mr.Pambayan.

In spite of a huge snow storm in New Jersey the day before, several people enthusiastically participated in the event and appreciated NATS New Jersey for this initiative.

This event is conducted by NATS Vice President Mr.Mohana Krishna Mannava with support and help from NATS President, Gangadhar Desu, Ranjit Chaganti (NATS NJ Coordinator), Ramesh Nuthalapati (NATS national Career Assistance Chair), Srihari Mandadi (NATS national Social Media Chair), Murali Medicherla (NATS national Media Chair), Vasu Tupakula (NATS national Sports Chair), Vishnu Aluru (NATS national Career Assistance Co Chair), Chandrasekhar Konidela (NATS national Immigration Chair), Prasad Gurram (NATS national Immigration Co Chair), Asha Vikuntam (NATS NJ Women's Committee Chair), Rekha Uppaluri (NATS NJ Women's Committee Co Chair). Several NATS New Jersey active players - Ramanaidu Kantubuktha, Shyam Nalam (NATS Promotion Chair), Srinivas Bharthavarapu, Jay Prakash Gutta (NATS NJ Special Projects Chair), Vivek Kalagara (NATS NJ Career Assistance Co Chair), Sudheer Tummala (NATS NJ Immigration Co Chair), Jyotish Mamillapalli (NATS NJ Volunteers Chair), Ravi Boga (NATS NJ Media Co Chair) also worked hard in making this event a big success.

Also, the following NATS New Jersey Team - Venkata Rao Oruganti, Leela Krishna Kanikicherla, Sudheer Potu, Rakesh Batula, Soma Kalagara, Suresh Gorantla, Tulasiram Kodali, Mohan Kunamneni, Krishna Gopal Nekkanti, Madhu Panga, Gopal Rao Chandra, Vamsi Venigalla, Srinivas Jampani, Ramji Sadhanala, Prasad Thamana were part of the event.

Several Prominent People like Mr.Damu Gedela, Mr.Prasad Kunisetty, Rambabu Vikuntam, Mr. Mohan Bhargava attended the event. Several other attendees - Arun Ayyagari, Ram Miryala, Ramesh Akkisetty, Mohan Putumbaka, Badhri T, Rajesh Kommineni, Vijay Krishna Tirunghri, Nagireddy Yerrabothula, Chaitanya Mangarai, Krishna Ganji, Raghavendra Warakala, Shashidhar Emani, Vijayanand Kottapalli, Somasekhar Badugu, Srinivas Nomula, Jayadev Koneru, Srinivas Reddy, Mallikharjuna Rao, Kalyan Ravi appreciated this initiative.

TV9 and TV5 attended the event and covered the event. NATS national media chair Mr.Murali Medicherla coordinated the publicity proceedings. Telugu Fine Arts Society (TFAS) Executive Committee - Mrs.Manju Bhargava, Mr.Vasant Tanna, Mr. Srinivas Gandi, Mr.Sudhaker Uppala, Mrs. Kanaka Thatikolla attended the event and Telugu Association of Greater Delaware (TAGDV) Executive Committee - Mr.Harinath Bungatavula and Mr.Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy also attended the event pledged their support to the event. NATS representatives felicitated both TFAS and TAGDV executive committee members.

NATS Career Assistance Chair Mr.Ramesh Nuthalapati proposed vote of thanks. Later, NATS NJ Team felicitated new NATS President Mr.Gangadhar Desu and new Vice President Mr.Mohana Krishna Mannava wishing great success for NATS in their tenure. Even though this event was planned and organized in less than a week time, still many people and several NATS supporters turned up and made this event a big success.
