TANA mourns the death of Sri. ANR Boston, USA: Telugu Association of North America (TANA) mourned the death of Padmavibhushan Sri Akkineni Nageswara Rao, one of the legends of the Telugu movie industry. TANA President Mohan Nannapaneni released a press statement from Boston. He said, ANR is not only a great actor but also a humble and simple human being who has been an idol to many.
In over 75 years of his acting career, he has acted in many memorable movies and the various characters he has portrayed will always be close to our hearts, Mohan said.
Sri Nageswara Rao has been an active supporter of TANA from the very beginning and attended many TANA Conferences. TANA honored him with a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012 and the memories of that event will forever remain fresh in our memories. May his soul Rest in Peace and our prayers go out to the Akkineni family, TANA President said.
