NATA Excellence Award for Srinivas Reddy Gurram

Atlanta, Georgia, USA: North American Telugu Association (NATA) has selected entrepreneur and Telugu community leader Srinivas Reddy Gurram for the NATA 2014 Excellence Award.

Mr. Srinivas Reddy Gurram was president of Osmania University College of Engineering Student Union (1988), He was elected as the first president of Andhra Pradesh State Telugu Vidyarthi (a TDP wing). As a president of TDP student wing he was also member of TDP politburo during NTR's regime. He was one of the Indian delegates to participate in UNO sponsored international youth conference in Seoul, North Korea. In 1989, He became a Member of Andhra Pradesh adult education board during the UNO sponsored International Year of the eradication of Illiteracy. He ensured that all the undergraduate degree students share their summer vacation time in their own neighborhoods, towns or villages to eradicate illiteracy by each student educating five adults to read and write.

Srinivas Gurram Reddy, an entrepreneur in health care was also the founder of the global Telugu Entrepreneurs Association in 2010 in Dallas, Texas with the help of successful entrepreneurs, corporate executives, and senior professionals with roots from the Andhra Pradesh Region. He continues to provide direction to TEA to foster entrepreneurship among Telugu community globally.

He served ATA since 1992 in various positions like Chair for Youth, regional Vice President for SW region etc. He is one of the founding member of NATA since 2010 and at present serving NATA as International Vice President.

He served NATA's First Convention Committee as a member, adviser to Media and business Seminars. He organized several business seminars in North America and recently he organized an event in Hyderabad on December 29, 2013 at Hotel Taj Krishna, Hyderabad by inviting highly successful first generation entrepreneurs like Mr. Srini Raju, a Venture Capitalist with over a billion dollars fund and former Satyam executive, Mr. Varaparasad Reddy, Santa Biotechnology, Dr. Pailla Malla Reddy, NATA advisor and New York based successful Pharmaceutical entrepreneur, Mr. Yarlagadda Harish Chandra Prasad, one of the founding member and former CEO Lanco Group, Mr. Alla Ayodya Rami Reddy, Chairman/CEO, Ramki Group, Mr. Thota Chandrashekar, retired IAS office and former chairman Bombay metropolitan council and chairman Aditya Constructions. Dr. M.S. Reddy, three time Noble peace prize nominee and a billionaire in dairy and cheese business from Denver Colorado and Mr. B.V. Mohan Reddy Chairman/CEO Infotech software development company.

Srinivas Reddy Gurram has been immensely contributing to the welfare of the Telugu Community as evidenced by his involvement in several community activities for last 25 years. He is vivid advocate of success and thrives hard to see every human make it financially in their lives. His aim is to promote Telugu's globally to be entrepreneurs and financially independent thus they can help the community to grow and prosper in the world they live in.
