NATS conducts Volleyball tournament


Orlando, Florida: North America Telugu Society (NATS) partnered with India Network Foundation has conducted a Volleyball Tournament in Orlando FL on Sunday April 19th at Merrill Park Volleyball courts. This tournament has received tremendous response from enthusiastic volleyball fans from all over Florida. Seventeen teams have participated in this tournament and put a spectacular show of volleyball and a packed crowd of around 300 people witnessed the event.



The teams were divided into two groups Group A and Group B and competed in the leagues followed by four semifinals and two Grand Finals.
The severe heat of Sun didn't disturb the spirit of the game; the players showed great patience and stayed all day along to play the games.



During the award ceremony, NATS Executive committee representative Sai Prabhakar Yerrapragada welcomed the teams and the guests of the event Dr.K.V.Rao of India Network Foundation, Dr.Bhaskar Raju ' Fusion 360 Bar and Lounge, Dr.Suryanaryana Challapalli, Dr.Vijay Karra, Jalandhar Eligeti, Ravi Gandhy and Rajesh Kesineni.



Each team played with some nail biting finishes and showing good sportsmanship and spirit of volleyball. After challenging league matches, Dare Devils ' Orlando and Patriots ' Orlando reached finals in the Premier league, whereas Strikers ' Miami and HC1 ' Orlando emerged as finalists in the Star league.



In the exciting thriller grand finals, Dare Devils ' Orlando and Strikers ' Miami grabbed the winning cups and Patriots ' Orlando and HC1 ' Orlando stood second in their respective leagues to capture the runner up cups.



Sai Prabhakar Yerrapragada explained the services that NATS is doing across the globe; especially the NATS help line and urged the community people to utilize this service effectively. He appealed the crowd to attend NATS Sambaralu event to be held in Los Angeles from July 2nd to July 4th and a Food Drive event on the eve of Gandhi Jayanthi Day in the month of October. He also thanked the umpires and the volunteers who have dedicated themselves to provide an excellent service to the tournament. He also thanked the sponsors and players for successfully conducting the event.



During this event, NATS honored Dr.K.V.Rao, Dr.Bhaskar Raju, Dr.Vijay Karra, Dr.Challapali, Satish Vaddi and Satya Mantena for their achievements and services to the community.

Speaking on this occasion, Dr.K.V.Rao thanked and explained about visitors insurance and advised the audience to utilize the India Network Foundation's sponsorship. Dr.Bhaskar Raju, Dr.Challapalli, Dr.Karra, Satish Vaddi and Satya Mantena thanked NATS for recognizing their services.

Local Telugu community leaders and guests of the event were kind enough to grace the occasion and awarded the individual trophies to the players and cups to the winner and runner ups.

NATS Cup Volleyball 2015 Winner and Runner up Trophies, Individual trophies for the finalists are sponsored by India Network Foundation.
FUSION 360 Bar & Lounge supplied a delicious lunch as part of their donation to all the players and audience.

NATS applauded the services of Satish Vaddi and Satya Mantena who coordinated this event by putting tremendous effort and also thanked Rajesh Kesineni and Ratna Bollineni for their continuous support.
