NATS Sambaralu 2015 team in Southern California has conducted Volleyball and Throw ball competitions followed by picnic in various locations. This event was organized by Sports committee, led by Jaipal Reddy, from the NATS Sambaralu team and is part of the grand event to be held in Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim from July 2nd through July 4th, 2015.

The finalists in sports like Cricket, Volleyball and Throw ball will be awarded trophies at the main event. The competitions and picnic events were conducted in Eastvale, Irvine, Torrance and Simi Valley. Picnics held in the four cities were a grand success with more than 1500 people (combined) in attendance.

Across all four cities, the venues were filled with players, friends, supporters and families by 7:00 AM and the enthusiasm towards Sambaralu event has reached new heights. At some venues, kids have sold breakfast to raise funds for Asha Jyothi foundation while at other locations, breakfast was provided by Masala Craft, Irvine. Lunch was provided by Vishnu Catering in Eastvale and Irvine locations, while Biryani factory and Bollywood Brunch Box (B3) in Torrance and Simi Valley respectively. More than 150 families have registered for the Sambaralu event just over the weekend and the Sambaralu team felt ecstatic about the overwhelming response. The teams are now working on expanding the space in Anaheim Convention Center to accommodate all guests.

There was tremendous response for the Women Throwball tournament. Everybody who participated said they are going to continue play it for fun and healthy lifestyle.

In Eastvale, representatives from the Mayor's office and Fire Department officials have inaugurated Volleyball competitions and have addressed the gathering. They have congratulated NATS and Sambaralu team in bringing the event to Southern California. In Simi Valley and Irvine alone, the response was overwhelming with more than 600 Telugu citizens in each location. This event has provided the much needed energy to the Sambaralu team and they are progressing forward with renewed energy levels.

Quarters, Semis and Final competitions are expected to be played on June 13th, 2015. Sambaralu 2015 Executive Director Venkat Alapati has congratulated all teams and has requested everyone to sign-up and participate in the Mega Sambaralu event and thanked the NATS and TASC teams for their support in conducting such a massive tournament.
