YSR Jayanthi celebrated in Atlanta


Dr.YS Rajasekhara Reddy 66th Jayanthi was celebrated by the US YSRCP Committee and YSR followers from across America on July 18th, in Atlanta. The event was graced by the presence of several top leaders of YSRCP, including BhumanaKarunakar Reddy (General Secretory), Ambati Rambabu (Official Spokesman), KorumutlaSrinivasulu (MLA ' Railway Kodur), Alla Ramakrishna Reddy (MLA ' Mangalagiri), Adimulapu Suresh (MLA ' Santhanoothalapadu), ChevireddyBhaskar Reddy (MLA ' Chandragiri), Chelamalasetty Sunil (In charge ' Kakinada), RamireddyPrathap Reddy (MLA ' Kavali), Gudivada Amarnath, Medapati Venkat (Secretary), Srinivas Kalabanda (In charge ' GajapathiNagaram), and YadamBalaji (In charge ' Chirala). Most of the US NRI YSRCP Committee and prominent YSR followers from across America joined the Jayanthi celebrations in Atlanta. The celebrations started on Thursday night with the arrival of first five dignitaries from India, Ambati Rambabu, Adimulapu Suresh, Alla Ramakrishna Reddy, KorumutlaSrinivasulu, and Gudivada Amarnath. Over hundred YSR followers attended the dinner event Thursday night in Taste of India.



Friday started with the arrival of most of the committee members, and over hundred Dr. YSR followers. Friday night dinner for over two hundred supporters was joined by Sunil Chelamalasetty. Saturday morning signaled the arrival of Bhumana Karunakar Reddy, Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, Ramireddy Prathap Reddy, Venkat Medapati, Srinivas Kalabandi, and YadamBalaji. The US YSRCP Committee had its all day working session on Saturday and discussed several important issues related to NRI contribution to YSRCP and the States of AP and Telangana. All the leaders participated in weighing in on several critical decisions made by the committee.



The main evening banquet to celebrate Dr. YSR Jayanthi started with leaders and the followers paying homage to Dr. YSR by lighting jyothi and offering floral tributes. A mesmerizing renderings by classical singer,Padmasri Srimathi Shoba Raju and shared her own interaction with late Dr. YSR. YSRCP USA Convener, Gurava Reddy welcomed the gathering and guests. The gathered YSR followers observed a minute of silence in remembrance of the victims of Godavari Pushkaralau. The leaders, in their address to the gathering of over 700recollected their fond memories of working with Dr. YSR and enthralled the crowd with stories of how they were inspired by his great leadership.



The speakers spoke eloquently of how Dr. YSR bettered the lives of the people of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana with programs likeJalayagnam, Arogyasri, Fee Reimbursement, Free Power, PavalaVaddi to empower women, etc. and emphasized on the need to support YSRCP and YS Jaganmohan Reddy gaaru to continue the legacy and vision of Dr. YSR for the people of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The crowd was enthused and thrilled with the recollections of Dr. YSR by prominent leaders like BhumanaKarunakar Reddy, Ambati Rambabu etc. They had seen the future of YSRCP in the young leaders like Chelamalasetty Sunil, ChevireddyBhaskar Reddy, Gudivada Amar, and Adimulapu Suresh, etc.

The event concluded with the organizers thanking all the people involved in making it a grand success.
