Palle launches new version of eProcurement Vijayawada, May 9 (INN): Andhra Pradesh Information Technology Minister Dr. Palle Raghunath Reddy launched the new version of eProcurement platform here on Monday.
eProcurement is one of the core eGovernance initiatives started in 2002. It automates the procurement and purchase procedures of AP Govt. The prime objectives of eProcurement are to use the tools of IT to introduce best practices in electronic procurement across government departments, elimination of supplier Cartels, Syndicates due to remote bidding, empowerment of small & medium bidders as the entire content and bid submission is online.
Based on the feedback of the user departments Government of Andhra Pradesh has felt that there is need for some additional features in the existing eProcurement and introduction for the new version of eProcurement system suitable for all types of procurement requirements which are to be owned by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
The new version of eProcurement & eAuction system is developed by M/s Cambridge Technology Enterprises. The additional features are online EMD - Payment & refund, Third party Time stamp for all Bidding Events, MIS Reports with graphical representation, more flexible engine, highly secure. New version of eProcurement system supports services tenders like AMC, manpower consultancy etc., dynamic cost component engine, auto bid evaluation, schedule wise and tender wise evaluation, bulk download facility for user departments and online tender opening by multiple officials and/or committee using Digital Keys. The GoAP has issued the G.O. MS.No. 8, ITE&C Department, dated 08.05.2016 to Go-Live of new version of e-Procurement system for all User Departments and PSUs of Andhra Pradesh on 9th May.
ITE&C Department Secretary PS Pradyumna, Director (Communcations) D. Venkatachalam, Project Manager (eProcurement) P. Venugopal, and N. Kalyan Chakradhar Reddy from M/s Cambridge technology have also participated in the program.
