Over 85% students clear SSC exams Hyderabad, May 11 (INN): As many as 85.63% students have passed the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations in Telangana State whose results were declared here on Wednesday.
Speaking after releasing the results at the State Secretariat, Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari informed that girls have outperformed boys in the SSC exams. The pass percentage of boys was 84.70% while girls secured 86.57% pass percentage. Of 556,885 registered candidates, 555,265 had appeared for the SSC exams held from 21st March to 9th April. They included 519,494 regular and 35,771 private candidates. The pass percentage of private candidates is 39.52.
The Deputy CM informed that this year 2,379 schools secured 100% of passes while 10 schools secured zero percentage passes. Warangal district secured highest percentage of passes with 95.13% and Hyderabad ranked lowest with 76.23%. This year, the pass percentage increased by 8.07% with 85.63% compared to 77.56% last year.
The supplementary examinations are scheduled from 15th to 29th June. The last day for payment of exam fee by the candidates to the Heads of Schools concerned is 26th May.
