TDP MP Malla Reddy joins TRS Hyderabad, June 1 (INN): Telugu Desam Partry's lone MP in Telangana, Ch Malla Reddy, joined the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi here on Wednesday.
Malla Reddy, who represents Malkajgiri Lok Sabha constituency, was welcomed into the TRS by Chief Minister and TRS President K. Chandrashekar Rao himself at a function held at party headquarters Telangana Bhavan. Speaking on the occasion, KCR said everyone should contribute in the formation of "Bangaru (Golden) Telangana." He described Malla Reddy's entry into TRS fold as "re-structuring of politics" aimed at ensuring overall development of Telangana State.
The exit of Malla Reddy has given a major blow to TDP in Telangana. The party has already lost 12 MLAs to TRS and now it has been reduced to a three-member team in State Assembly.
