Tax Department names highest tax payers
Hyderabad, June 3 (INN): The Commercial Tax Department of Telangana Government has appreciated the tax payers who are committed to Tax compliance during the financial year 2015-16.
The highest Tax Payers in the Manufacturing sector under VAT/CST were ITC Limited (Paper), Hindustan Unilever Ltd (FMCGs), Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages Pvt Ltd, Asian Paints and Ultratech Cement Ltd. Under Retail Sector, the highest tax payers were Samsung India Electronics Pvt Ltd, Varun Motors, LG Electronics, Ashok Leyland and Reliance Industries Ltd.
The highest Tax payers in Works Contracts were Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Ltd and Larsen & Turbo Ltd.
The highest Tax payers under Profession Tax during the same period were India Infoline Wealth Management Ltd, Accenture Services PVT Ltd, TATA Consultancy, Pruthvi Adithya Infratech Pvt Ltd and Infosys Ltd. Likewise, the highest Tax payers under Entertainment Tax were Ushakiron Movies Ltd, Vyjayanthi Cinema, Sunrisers Hyderabad Sun TV Network Ltd, Hathway Cable and Datacom Ltd and Prasad Imax.
'The Commercial Taxes Department acknowledges the contribution of the above agencies by payment of the taxes. The department also appeals to every dealer to sincerely pay the taxes for making Bangaaru Telangana a reality,' said the Commercial Taxes Commissioner on Friday.
