Komatireddy gets Show Cause notice Hyderabad, June 5 (INN): The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) on Sunday served Show Cause Notice to party MLA from Nalgonda, Komatireddy Venkatreddy, for criticising the State unit president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy.
Komatireddy has been asked to reply as to why action should be taken against him for publicly criticising the TPCC president and other senior leaders. He has been given one week's time to reply to the notice.
TPCC Disciplinary Action Committe chairman M. Kodanda Reddy described Komatireddy's remarks as an open challenge to the decisions taken by Congress president Sonia Gandhi herself. He said that the Nalgonda MLA's remarks would only benefit the TRS and cause huge damage to the party.
Meanwhile, reacting to Show Cause Notice, Komatireddy said it was of importance to him as PCC was not authorised to serve any notice. He said he would meet Congress president Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi soon on this issue. Criticising Uttam Kumar Reddy again, he said that there was no future for Congress in Telangana until he continues on the post of TPCC President. He also alleged that Uttam does not respect any senior leader in the party, including Leader of Opposition K. Jana Reddy who hails from the same Nalgonda district.
