Hyderabad, June 5 (INN): Telangana TDP Working President A. Revanth Reddy has alleged that the TRS Government was neglecting the welfare of families of martyrs who laid down their lives for the cause of Telangana statehood.
In an open letter to Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao on Sunday, Revanth Reddy said the State Government has failed to provide promised jobs and financial assistance to the families of martyrs. He said while KCR has accommodated his entire family on top positions, he completely neglected the martyrs' families.
Revanth Reddy alleged that the Appointment Letters given to the members of martyrs' families on the occasion of second anniversary celebrations of Telangana Formation Day on 2nd June were not valid. He said 27 persons in Adilabad district were given Appointment Letters. But the district administration has failed to provide them jobs which are an insult to martyrs.
Revanth Reddy also criticised the Chief Minister for not withdrawing cases related to Telangana agitation. He said as many as 3,152 cases were registered across Telangana during statehood agitation. In addition, Railway Police had registered separate cases. He said that the State Government was yet to withdraw those cases. Further, he said no effective representation was made with the Centre for withdrawal of railway cases.
The TDP leader demanded a White Paper on the assistance provided to the martyrs' families so far. Else, he threatened that the TDP would launch a massive against TRS Government.
