Fish medicine for Asthma patients from Wednesday Hyderabad, June 7 (INN): Elaborate arrangements have been made at Exhibition Grounds at Nampally for administering famous fish medicine among Asthma patients on Wednesday and Thursday.
The Bathini Goud family has been administering the fish medicine since 1845. The Asthma patients are made to swallow the Ayurvedic medicine which is kept in the mouth of a small fish. The rush for this medicine has seen a decline in the last few years following objections raised over its authenticity. Some rationalists had described the medicine as unscientific. However, the Bathini Goud family had maintained that the medicine was completely scientific and it has no side effects.
The State Government has made arrangements for sale of fish, drinking water and other basic amenities at the Exhibition Grounds. Large of number of policemen have also been deployed for the smooth conduct of the event.
