BJP State Level convention on June 18 Hyderabad, June 16 (INN): The Telangana unit of Bharatiya Janata Party will conduct a two-day State-level convention at Uppal on 18th and 19th June.
Speaking to media persons at the BJP Headquarters at Nampally on Thursday, BJP MLC N. Ramchander Rao said that party's national level leaders would participate in the convention. He said that during the convention, party would discuss the strategy to strengthen the organisation from booth to mandal levels before next general elections.
Ramchander Rao maintained that the BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre has released Rs. 90,000 crore for Telangana State. He said while Finance Minister Eatala Rajender has claimed that the Centre has released only Rs. 36,000 crore, Telangana Government's Special Representative S. Venugopala Chary has put the figure at Rs. 42,000 crore. He said that the TRS Government itself lacks clarity on the issue. He also slammed the TRS Government over bifurcation of High Court and demanded that both Chief Ministers N. Chandrababu Naidu (Andhra Pradesh) and K. Chandrashekar Rao (Telangana) should sit and resolve the issue amicably.
