Congress demands judicial commission Hyderabad, June 18 (INN): Deputy CLP leader T. Jeevan Reddy launched a tirade against Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao questioning the quantum of compensation being given to the displaced farmers of the Mallanna sagar project.
Speaking to the reporters here on Saturday, Jeevan Reddy asked 'Will KCR be happy if he gets Rs.10 lakh per acre of his farmhouse land?'
Reddy lambasted the government for issuing GO 123 to compensate the project oustees rather than compensating according to the Land Acquisition Act. He demanded the government to set up a judicial commission to decide fair compensation to those whose lands were being acquired for the project at the earliest.
