Defence minister lays foundation for aerospace SEZ
Hyderabad, June 18 (INN): Boeing and Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) have joined hands to set up a facility in Hyderabad to co-produce Boeing AH-64 Apache helicopter fuselages and other aero structures.
Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar on Saturday laid the foundation stone of Tata Boeing Aerospace Limited (TBAL) at the aerospace Special Economic Zone (SEZ) at Adibatla on the city outskirts. Speaking on the occasion, the Defence Minister said that the development was a testimony to the success of the Make in India scheme of the Union government.
Speaking on the occasion, Telangana IT minister K. Tarakarama Rao said that the new industrial policy of Telangana- TS-iPASS is making strides in the industrial development with its unique features like self certification and timely clearance. He said that the new state has now become a new destination for industries in all sectors.
