Will wrest power in 2019: Uttam Hyderabad, June 19 (INN): TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar said that the Congress would be at no loss, if a few party leaders left the party for their personal gains.
Addressing party leaders from Peddapalli constituency of Karimnagar district here on Sunday, the PCC chief said that the Congress leadership was working to strengthen the party from grassroots and exuded confidence that Congress would wrest power in the state in 2019.
It may be mentioned here that former Peddapalli MP G. Vivek and MP G. Sukhendar Reddy and few other Congress leaders had joined the ruling TRS. The PCC chief said that a massive public meeting would be organized in Ramagundam in Karimnagar very soon. He appealed the party works not to let down and work hard to strengthen the party. 'The people of the state are fed-up with the anti-people policies of the TRS and would dethrone the TRS in the next election. Congress alone could work for the people's welfare,' the PCC chief remarked.
Senior party leaders including Ponnala Lakshmaiah, Marri Sashidhar Reddy and others were present on the occasion.
