PAC reviews pending revenue receipts
Hyderabad, June 22 (INN): The Public Accounts Committee of Telangana State Legislature on Wednesday reviewed the revenue receipts of various departments which were pending since eight years.
The PAC meeting, presided by its chairperson Dr. J. Geetha Reddy, was held in the Assembly premises and attended by seven members including Dr. K. Lakshman, A. Jeevan Reddy, Manchireddy Kishan Reddy, Ramulu Naik, Bhanu Prasad, Farooq Hussain and Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy.
According to sources, of nearly Rs. 200 crore pending arrears, only Rs. 6.16 crore have been realised by the Telangana Government. The PAC has cleared six out of 13 Paras which were pending. The committee has decided to conduct meetings on regular basis and directed all departments to furnish information as and when required.
The meeting was also attended by Account General, Secretary Legislature, Secretary Finance and other top officials.
