Mallu Ravi invites Sonia Gandhi to Telangana
Hyderabad, June 22 (INN): TPCC Vice-President Dr. Mallu Ravi called on Congress president Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi on Wednesday.
Speaking to media persons later, Mallu Ravi informed that he had invited Sonia Gandhi to address a public meeting in Telangana. He admitted that the Congress party has failed to properly convey to the people that it was Sonia Gandhi who granted statehood for Telangana. However, he said that the Telangana Congress has resolved to approach the masses in a proper manner. He said that the party was planning a massive public meeting in Telangana and it would be addressed by Sonia Gandhi and other top leaders.
Mallu Ravi also claimed that the Congress party was very strong in Telangana and some leaders with vested interested were leaving the party to join the TRS. He said people still have faith in Congress party and it would bounce back to power in 2019 elections.
