Advocates rally to Raj Bhavan foiled Hyderabad, July 5 (INN): Telangana lawyers on Tuesday staged a dharna at Indira Park demanding withdrawal of suspension of judges and division of High Court. Later they took out a rally and proceeded towards Raj Bhavan, which was soon foiled by the police who arrested them.
Speaking on the occasion, MLC Ramachandra Rao blamed the TRS government for keeping mum over the lawyers' agitation in the state. Judicial services are being affected and the state government is least bothered about the difficulties the people are going through.
The Central government is ready for a split of the High Court between the two Telugu states, averred BJP leaders Dr Lakshman and Ramachandra Reddy, MLC, on Tuesday.
Addressing the protest meet, the BJP leaders flayed the TRS government for playing politics with the lawyers agitation. If the ruling party was sincere, it should set aside politics and cooperate in resolving the issue. The government should have acted when the Telangana lawyers took to the streets, the BJP leaders said.
