Aswaraopet to get palm oil refinery Khammam, Aug 16 (INN): Agriculture minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy said that the state government was encouraging the farmers taking up the palm oil cultivation and had hence upgraded the Palm oil factory at Aswaraopet from 15 tonnes to 30 tonnes. He said that steps are being initiated to establish a Palm Oil Refinery plant in Aswaraopet soon and this will help in establishing a brand name for Telangana Palm Oil, the minister said.
The minister along with Speaker Madhusudhana Chary inspected the palm oil factory on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, the Speaker said that the strengthening of agri-sector would play a key role in achieving Golden Telangana.
