Polluting industries to be moved out: KTR Hyderabad, Dec 27 (INN): Minister for IT and Industries K Tarakarama Rao on Tuesday said that the state government was taking various initiatives to make Hyderabad an industrial pollution free city.
Speaking in the Legislative Council during the Question Hour, KTR said that the government would shift industrial units in clusters out of the Outer Ring Road to keep pollution levels under control. He said that the government had identified as many as 1160 industrial units and would shift them in a phased manner. He said that the government had identified 19 places where these units could be shifted. He said that the government would take enough measures to keep pollution under control at the 19 places where these units would be shifted by the end of 2017. He said that a sewerage treatment plant would also come up in the city to treat waste.
