Uproar in Assembly over SC categorisation Hyderabad, Dec 27 (INN): The issue of SC Categorisation created uproar in the Assembly on Tuesday with Opposition members rushing to the Well of the House demanding adjournment motion over the issue. With the Opposition not relenting to give in, Speaker S. Madhusudan Chary suspended three members from the House - two from TD and one from Congress.
As soon as the House proceeding began, Congress and TD MLAs started protesting demanding the government to lead an all party delegation to New Delhi. When the Opposition members did not give up their protest, Minister for Legislative Affairs Harish Rao moved a suspension motion against the three agitating members - Sandra Venkata Veeraiah, Revanth Reddy (TD) and Sampath Kumar (Congress). The Speaker then announced the suspension of three members till the end of Winter Session.
Objecting to this, Opposition Leader K. Jana Reddy demanded the government to take an all party delegation to New Delhi. He subsequently sought an assurance from the Treasury benches. To this, Minister Harish Rao assured that government will take an all-party delegation to New Delhi on the issue. Jana Reddy then pleaded the Speaker to revoke the suspension of three members. Accordingly, the Speaker revoked the suspension.
