8.5 lakh new LPG connections sanctioned: Etala Hyderabad, Dec 29 (INN): Finance Minister Etala Rajender on Thursday said that the TRS government will provide LPG connection to all BPL families in the state. He said that the government was taking special initiatives in this direction. He said that the state government has allocated Rs 100 crore in its first budget for providing LPG connections and Rs 50 crore in the second budget for the purpose.
Replying to a question in the Assembly on the status of LPG connections, Etala said that the state government sanctioned 10 lakh new connections added that 10 lakh more new connections would be sanctioned soon to the poor. He said that as many as 8.5 lakh Deepam connections have been sanctioned till now and 3.61 lakh families were benefited under the scheme. He assured that the state would sanction new connection to every poor household in the state.
