TD Govt failed to curb smuggling: YSRCP
Hyderabad, Dec 30 (INN): The YSR Congress Party on Friday alleged that the red sanders smugglers in AP were enjoying the patronage of ruling party members.
Speaking to the media persons here, party spokesperson Bhumana Karunakar said that the government was protecting the red sander smugglers. He said that the state government has not taken any steps to prevent smuggling of the forest resources saying that the task force set up to curb smuggling was ill-equipped. He alleged that the government was doing this deliberately only to give a free hand to the smugglers who are glove in hand with the ruling party leaders.
The YSRCP leader demanded the government to set up special force on the line of Grey Hounds to protect red sanders spread over in the forests in five districts of the state. He also said that the government should probe the cases of red sanders smuggling and probe the involvement of ruling party leaders.
