In a shocking turn of events Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav expelled his son and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav from the party. He announced his decision on Friday. Addressing the media from his residence Mulayam said that Akhilesh was expelled over indiscipline.
He also suspended party general secretary Ramgopal Yadav for six years from the party. Addressing a press conference at his home Mulayam said he had expelled his son to "save the party."
Mulayam said "I have worked really hard to build Samajwadi party. There was no role for them. I work hard and they reap the benefits? For us party is the most important and our priority is to save the party. They were finishing the party."
Mulayam also declared that the party will decide the next chief minister.A day before show cause notice to Akhilesh was sent after he issued his own list of candidates for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
