Bypassing Central laws not good: Ponguleti Hyderabad, Jan 6 (INN): MLC and Congress leader Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy on Friday asked the State Government not to bypass Central legislations in its policy of acquiring land for various irrigation projects.
Speaking to media persons, Sudhakar Reddy said that the State Government should acquire land according to provisions laid down in the Land Acquisition Act 2013 and said that there was no need for the state government to draft a separate law for the same. He said that it was not good for the TRS government to bypass Central laws unnecessarily. The TRS is now habituated to framing laws as per their will when there were legislation already on the subjects, he said.
Sudhakar Reddy said that the TRS Government has not learnt lessons even after getting reprimanded by the Courts of law for its acts on various occasions. High Court strictures on GO 123 should serve as an eye opener for the TRS government and it should mend its ways, the Congress leader said.
