SCR new GM holds review meeting Hyderabad, Jan 12 (INN): South Central Railway General Manager Vinod Kumar Yadav, who assumed office on Thursday at Rail Nilayam in Secunderabad, held a meeting with Principal Heads of departments and officials of Secunderabad and Hyderabad Division.
In his interaction with the officials, the General Manager expressed optimism of a successful performance oriented time ahead for South Central Railway, with team work as the basis for achieving the goals and targets set. He stated that SCR holds image as amongst the best performers on Indian Railways and every effort shall be made to carry this recognition forward.
Spelling out his priorities, Vinod Kumar Yadav underlined that Safety is foremost and there cannot be any shortcoming towards attaining an accident free record. Calling on all the departments to optimize their contribution in ensuring Safety of train operations, the General Manager emphasized on 'Zero Tolerance' as the core objective of this endeavor.
The General Manager laid stress on completion of ongoing rail projects as per the set targets so as to ensure viability of the projects and the resultant returns that accrue to the Railways. Conveying his intent to keep passenger expectations in focus, the General Manager added that the facilities and amenities need to be continuously upgraded on par with the best so as to attain user satisfaction.
Earlier, SCR Principal Chief Engineer S.N. Singh presented a bouquet to Vinod Kumar Yadav formally welcoming him in his new assignment as General Manager for SCR.
