Fourth industrial revolution is on the anvil: YS Chowdary Visakhapatnam, Jan 28 (INN): Fourth industrial revolution is going on in the country through digitalization and integration of digital technologies with manufacturing sector, Union Minister for Science and Technology and Earth Sciences Y.S. Chowdary while addressing the gathering at Partnership Summit 2017 held here on Saturday.
The Union Minister said that the ideas of artificial intelligence, robotics big data analytics, internet of things, cyber security and simulations are coming in our minds.
Chowdary also said that we have to improve the efficiency of the existing systems to increase the productivity and to be more competitive, to increase the gross production with the same unit of resources namely material resources, manpower resources and monetary resources. By doing so, we have to increase the adaptability to the changing times. The LUDDITE movement pertains to first industrial revolution period. He further said that improving efficiency, increasing competiveness, enhancing production, productivity and attaining greater adaptability are the need of the hour. They are required to survive in the market. He opined that we should ensure that there is no displacement of labour and no one gets unemployed in this fourth industrial revolution.
