Kodandaram vows to fight against KCR Govt

Hyderabad, Oct 7 (INN): Telangana Political Joint Action Committee (TJAC) chairman Prof. M. Kodandaram has strongly condemned Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao's outburst against him.

Speaking to media persons here on Saturday, Kodandaram alleged that the language and tone used by KCR does not suit a person holding the post of Chief Minister. He said KCR had used offensive, derogatory and provocative language against him. He said it was wrong on the part of KCR to abuse him in unparliamentary words while not giving reply to the public issues raised by him.

Kodandaram ridiculed KCR's claim that statehood for Telangana was achieved due to his efforts. He said the credit of Telangana formation goes to each and every individual who participated in the movement. He said Telangana was not achieved to bring a few people to power. But people struggled and gave sacrifices to fulfill their aspirations and expectations from the new State. Stating that KCR Government was no different from the previous regimes, he announced that the TJAC would continue its movement to achieve.

The TJAC chief slammed the Chief Minister for encouraging defections by elected representatives of other parties. He said KCR indulged in horse trading of MLAs and MPs. He also alleged that KCR was implementing unilateral decisions without even consulting his own ministers or senior officials. He said KCR did not do social justice in his cabinet and all his ministers are mere rubber stamps with no powers. He said people's participation in government has completely ended under TRS regime.

Kodandaram said KCR do not visit the Secretariat and common people have no access to Pragathi Bhavan. He also alleged that KCR Government was deeply mired in irregularities while ruling party leaders are involved in land grabbing, sand mafia and other illegal activities.

He announced that the TJAC would continue its fight to protect the Telangana culture and heritage. He said that the TJAC would continue to raise voice against the injustices being done to people. He said that the TJAC aims to achieve Social Telangana.

Kodandaram said KCR was a later comer in Telangana agitation. He said the statehood movement was going on since 1952 and several people sacrificed their lives in 1969. He said the movement was revived in 1996 by Prof. Jaishankar, Keshav Rao Jadhav, Bhupati Krishna Murthy and others. He said hundreds of organisations, political parties and individuals associated themselves with the movement and their collective efforts resulted in formation of Telangana.
