TITA complains against Balakrishna

Hyderabad, Dec 4 (INN): Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) has strongly condemned the derogatory remarks made by the TDP as part of their political campaign.

Deliberate comments are being to hurt the sentiments of the techies in Telangana. TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu's remarks that only because of his efforts IT has come to Hyderabad and his party's MLA Nandamuri Balaksrihna's derogatory comments that 'Telangana people who didn't even know the spelling of IT were taught the definition of IT by Naidu are unacceptable, said TITA. It is objectionable to state that Hyderabad's growth should be evaluated without including Cyberabad and the flyovers.

TITA submitted a formal complaint to the EC by accompanying the CD with Balakrishna's comments.

TITA condemned that remarks saying the IT professionals in Telangana are working with a sense of responsibility to make Hyderabad a great IT destination and such remarks will certainly hurt the sentiments of them and TDP leaders should refrain from making such comments for their political gains, observed TITA. Such efforts will create gap in the people, which is not a right thing for the State.

Hyderabad's growth through the efforts of IT professionals is one thing and the ecosystem and environment that has been created for the techies cannot be ignored. The talent pool, industry-friendly environment and people-friendly transportation besides other infrastructure have become the prime pillars for the city's growth in IT. Before AP was merged in Telangana, the latter had an airport, university and leading academic institutions. When the united AP achieved IT exports of Rs 50,000 crore, Telangana after its State formation has taken this to Rs 1 lakh crore. TDP has no right to take undue credit for Hyderabad's IT growth.

Telangana has maintained is consistent growth and based on derogatory and illogical comments, parties cannot try to create differences among the techies. TDP's comment that IT industry's base will be shifted to Andhra Pradesh if the party wins in Telangana is not a right approach. Such comments and remarks will bring uncertainty in the industry. TDP should not include such approach or agenda as part of its political campaign, TITA said. Techies who are closely monitoring the whole development will respond with their votes, it said.

TITA submitted its complaint to EC Rajath Kumar and Deputy EC Amrapali, informed TITA president Sundeep Kumar Makthala. Vice President Ranapratap Bojjam, Secretary Ashwin Chandra, Venkat Vanam, Srilatha, Shravan Bhanapuram were also present while submitting the complaint over the issue.
